Premier Resident Engineer (Networking)

Location: Remote, with full-time customer support in the Cincinnati, Ohio area; US citizenship required

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 base compensation annually

What you will do

• Provide full-time project support for a large enterprise healthcare customer.
• Plan, design, implement, and operate Extreme networking solutions using the PDIO methodology.
• Create architecture diagrams, implementation plans, configurations, project documentation, and MOP validation criteria.
• Act as technical lead, trusted advisor, and liaison between the customer, sales, engineering, product teams, GTAC, and partners.
• Implement and support Extreme Campus Fabric, EXOS, VOSS, SPB, XIQ, XIQ-SE, NAC, and analytics solutions.
• Escalate customer issues proactively and coordinate delivery across networking, firewall, and operating-system teams.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of experience with enterprise networking technologies and implementation.
• Proven experience with Extreme Campus Fabric, EXOS switching, VOSS, SPB Fabric, XIQ, XIQ-SE, Extreme Control, and Extreme Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of NAC, LDAP, RADIUS, Active Directory, routing protocols, Layer 2 switching, DNS, DHCP, wireless, and IPv4/IPv6.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with PCAP, Wireshark, wireless RF analysis, and security-related tools.
• Excellent customer communication, technical presentation, documentation, project coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Industry networking certifications.
• Automation and Python scripting experience.
• Ekahau experience.
