Sr Software Development Engineer VNDLY (Python)

Location: USA, Ohio, Mason; additional location available in Canada. Hybrid Flex Work requires spending at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field.

Salary: $148,200–$222,400 USD annual base pay in the primary location; $140,000–$210,000 CAD in additional Canadian locations.

What you will do

• Build and maintain pay-related features for contingent workforce management.
• Develop functionality for jobs, worker provisioning, contracts, and integrations.
• Design scalable and resilient critical services using Python, React, and AWS.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and efficiency.
• Break down ambiguous requirements into deliverable project components.
• Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web services.
• 3+ years of experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Deep proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask, or another Python web framework.
• Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with Git, AWS, SaaS applications, multi-tenant architectures, DevOps/CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum.
