Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Salary: $150,080–$234,000 per year, plus annual or quarterly performance incentives.

What you will do

• Assess software gaps and translate customer and business requirements into user stories, designs, and test objectives.
• Design and implement software components, RESTful APIs, microservices, and real-time communication services.
• Build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, telemetry, and repetitive engineering processes.
• Develop and execute functional, load, performance, regression, and other application tests.
• Troubleshoot defects, performance and availability bottlenecks, and conduct complex application maintenance.
• Monitor application metrics and logs, evaluate change requests, and support re-engineering activities.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related field plus 1 year of relevant experience; or bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Python using Django or Flask, Java with Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Redis, Celery, Kafka, WebSocket, Django Channels, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Backbone.js, design patterns, multi-tenant and multilingual applications, database sharding, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with JMeter, Sentry, Dynatrace, JUnit, Graylog, Kibana, Nginx, Gunicorn, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work is based at the Sunnyvale, California location.
