Accounting Lead

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; onsite in the Charlotte office five days a week

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 USD annually, plus potential equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the monthly close and day-to-day accounting from start to finish.
• Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
• Prepare portfolio companies for potential acquisitions by cleaning up the books and organizing due-diligence documentation.
• Lead external audits and manage requests, documentation, and deadlines.
• Strengthen accounting processes and collaborate with business leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Work alongside the executive team from the Charlotte office five days per week.

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally including work at a company that was successfully acquired.
• Experience managing an external audit from the company side.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and audit-ready books.
• Experience with a modern ERP or accounting system, preferably NetSuite.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership without extensive supervision.
• MS in Accounting, MBA, and/or CPA preferred.
