Industry Marketing Director, Legal (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States. Full-time role with travel of up to 25% for client meetings, executive briefings, and industry events.

What you will do

• Own the annual messaging architecture and unified value proposition for the legal vertical.
• Develop research-backed thought leadership, CXO perspectives, keynote content, and executive presentations on AI transformation, matter economics, pricing, risk, compliance, and legal operations.
• Build the legal go-to-market bill of materials, including competitive positioning, sales plays, pitch decks, use cases, demos, client proof points, and enablement collateral.
• Coordinate Product Marketing, Industry Principals, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Sales Enablement, PR, analysts, and industry influencers.
• Activate account-based marketing campaigns, support product launches, and track content, engagement, pipeline, win-rate, and deal-velocity metrics.
• Support strategic deals through custom presentations, executive messaging, competitive positioning, briefings, finalist presentations, and account planning.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in management consulting, product or industry marketing, legal operations, legal technology, or practice management.
• Experience in high-growth enterprise SaaS and AI environments, including portfolio messaging or vertical marketing.
• Knowledge of legal operations, law firm business models, buyer personas, legal technology competition, AI and automation, matter economics, pricing, or risk and compliance.
• Proven ability to create high-profile thought leadership, conduct research and data analysis, develop executive messaging, and present to senior executives.
• Strong written communication, problem-solving, storytelling, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, JD, or another advanced degree preferred.
