Lead Solutions Engineer, POC Operations (SaaS)

Location: San Francisco, United States

Salary: $94,000–$147,000 per year base pay for candidates based in the United States; OTE is $113,000–$177,000 per year, including bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Define the end-to-end methodology, intake criteria, timelines, and success criteria for customer proof-of-concepts.
• Build and maintain resourcing and capacity-planning models across technical teams and regions.
• Run recurring intake, status, and review cadences while providing leadership visibility into progress and risks.
• Design escalation processes and unblock the highest-risk POCs involving scope, staffing, or technical issues.
• Create repeatable playbooks, templates, and tooling for Solutions Consultants.
• Track program metrics, report trends, and partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Solutions Consulting on improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, solutions consulting operations, or a related role within B2B SaaS.
• Experience designing, scaling, or operating technical programs across multiple simultaneous POCs, pilots, or technical evaluations.
• Strong skills in scoping, milestone tracking, resource planning, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of technical concepts such as APIs, SDKs, and data integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, written communication, verbal communication, and leadership reporting skills.

• PMP, CSM, or an equivalent program or project management certification.
