Operations Manager, Americas Control Tower

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop a team of Gateway Operators supporting ocean and air freight across the Americas.
• Oversee exception management for dwelling cargo, document discrepancies, milestone gaps, line holds, and carrier SLA issues.
• Establish escalation protocols, communication rhythms, performance standards, and extended-hours coverage.
• Develop SOPs, SLAs, and repeatable processes for Control Tower-managed functions.
• Create dashboards and reports to measure performance and support carrier strategy and account-management decisions.
• Partner with Gateway, Carrier Performance Management, Demand, Account Management, and Product teams to improve operational execution.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree and/or 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, transportation, supply chain, or a related field.
• 3+ years of people-management experience in a relevant operational environment.
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• In-depth knowledge of freight-forwarding technology and experience partnering with product teams.
• Experience developing and enforcing SOPs in a high-volume operational environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and cross-cultural collaboration skills, including experience with Looker, BI dashboards, AI, and Google or Microsoft Suite.

• Portuguese language proficiency.
• Willingness to travel to the United States as needed.
