Head of Operations - Americas (relocation to CDMX)

Location: Mexico City, Mexico; relocation required. Hybrid role with in-person leadership of the local operations hub. Regular travel to Barcelona and across Latin America and the United States is required.

What you will do

• Lead the multidisciplinary operations team based in Mexico City, covering customer support, logistics, operations engineering, legal, and finance operations.
• Own operational execution across the Americas and act as the main counterpart for regional business leadership.
• Coordinate global disciplines from Barcelona, including supply chain, logistics, planning, revenue analytics, support, and operations engineering.
• Translate regional requirements into coordinated headquarters delivery involving products, materials, shipping, customs, licences, invoicing, and access.
• Challenge and improve global processes, tooling, and operating calendars based on local market realities.
• Develop team context, direction, feedback, career paths, and day-to-day support through in-person leadership.

Requirements

• Solid experience running operations in a fast-growing, high-standards environment, such as operations, supply chain, business operations, regional operations, strategy and operations, or consulting followed by operating roles.
• Experience leading a team, including performance management and difficult conversations.
• Strong stakeholder management across cultures, seniority levels, and time zones.
• Structured, systems-minded approach with strong ownership and resilience.
• Fluent Spanish and English required for daily work.
• Willingness to travel across the region, including to the United States, and relocate to Mexico City.

Nice to have

• Experience with supply chain or physical distribution.
• Familiarity with CRM and operational tooling such as Salesforce.
• Experience in EdTech or businesses serving institutional customers.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve individual and team productivity.
