Location: New Caney, Texas; onsite role with travel to contractor and sites

What you will do
- Plan, design, program, implement, and support monitoring and control systems for natural gas pipeline compressor stations and related facilities.
- Design, test, commission, and maintain PLC, RTU, and PC-based HMI systems.
- Design automation networks, configure communications protocols and hardware, and specify related instrumentation and controls equipment.
- Review electrical, control, instrumentation, mechanical, and construction drawings and integrate automation systems with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide onsite installation oversight, commissioning leadership, troubleshooting, and technical support to Operations and Technical Support personnel.
- Complete assignments in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, systems integration, or a related field, with strong experience programming, commissioning, and maintaining complex industrial control systems.
- Proven experience designing and programming Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC systems.
- Experience configuring and developing Wonderware InTouch HMI applications and using ArchestrA System Platform.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, flow charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and independent-working skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work onsite in Texas, travel 5%–50% including overnight trips, maintain a valid driver's license, and comply with company and government safety regulations.
Nice to have
- Experience with automation systems for natural gas compressor stations, storage facilities, or processing facilities.
- Experience with Ethernet, ControlNet, DH+, DF-1, Modbus, Profibus, fiber optic, copper, or radio communication systems.
- Knowledge of hazardous-area electrical applications, including Class 1 Division 1 and 2, and national or international controls standards.
- Experience with project management and Bristol Babcock 33xx or ControlWave controllers.
