Technical Field Service Representative II (Power Generation)

Location: Fife, Washington, USA; field-based work in varying weather and production environments, including emergency and after-hours service.

What you will do

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on generators and emergency power supply systems.
• Provide scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency or unscheduled repairs during regular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as directed.
• Read operational manuals, electrical schematics, generator literature, and work orders to complete service activities.
• Commission industrial and MPS equipment and identify faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual conditions.
• Create detailed work reports in FieldServio and communicate findings by phone, email, and in person.
• Monitor applicable National Fire Protection Association and state regulations for emergency power supply systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma and valid driver license.
• At least 4 years of experience servicing and troubleshooting emergency power supply systems.
• Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, and transfer switch operations.
• Experience with diesel or gaseous engines, natural gas fuel systems, spark-ignited systems, and engine maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently, work with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and provide detailed reports within 24 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance, work in varying weather conditions, and potentially obtain a DOT Medical Card.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Six years of experience servicing and troubleshooting emergency power supply systems.
• Knowledge of light towers, pumps, and heating products.
