HCUK Enterprise Risk & Controls Specialist

Location: Redhill, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a minimum of two office days per week. The role may require occasional domestic travel.

Salary: £37,000–£40,000 per year, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Support and enhance enterprise risk management, control assurance, and quality assurance frameworks.
• Assess, monitor, and report on risks, controls, policies, and quality assurance performance across the business.
• Identify, assess, and test key controls while maintaining risk, control, policy, and QA registers.
• Prepare management information, dashboards, committee packs, and governance documentation.
• Support oversight and performance monitoring of outsourced activities and related processes.
• Identify incidents, breaches, and control weaknesses, recommend improvements, and deputise for the Head of Enterprise Risk.

Requirements

• Experience in risk, controls, quality assurance, assurance, governance, or compliance within a regulated environment.
• Practical experience with business processes, controls, policies, procedures, reporting, or management information.
• Ability to engage stakeholders and support delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Strong planning, communication, teamwork, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with at least two office days per week in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to use approved AI tools accurately, appropriately, explainably, and in line with data protection and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Enterprise risk, controls, or QA experience in financial services.
• Automotive finance experience and knowledge of FCA compliance, conduct risk, Consumer Duty, or treating customers fairly requirements.
• Experience with governance frameworks, policy management, control testing, risk mitigation, assurance, underwriting, sales channels, outsourcing oversight, or financial controls.
• A relevant risk management qualification or progress toward one.
