Manager, Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop people across the intern program, maintenance, Quality Engineering, and Solutions Engineering.
• Own the intern program from recruiting and university partnerships through onboarding, mentorship, performance feedback, and conversion.
• Improve the intern-staffed maintenance operating model by prioritizing bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
• Drive Quality Engineering priorities, including performance testing with k6 and monitoring through Grafana or equivalent tools.
• Strengthen Solutions Engineering operations, escalation paths, and collaboration with CX and Support.
• Use metrics and AI-assisted workflows to improve planning, triage, reporting, automation, and quarterly engineering decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing engineers or technical teams, ideally across multiple disciplines.
• Strong software engineering foundation and technical judgment across quality, performance, maintenance, and customer-facing engineering.
• Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing technical talent, including interns or early-career engineers.
• Experience running an internship, apprenticeship, or similar early-career program.
• Working knowledge of k6, Grafana, or comparable performance testing and observability technologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, cross-functional leadership, OKR, and AI workflow design skills.
