Product Design Lead - Design System (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and manage a small team of product designers across multiple teams, prioritising initiatives and ensuring timely delivery.
• Mentor designers through critiques, coaching, feedback, and skill development.
• Manage design roadmaps, timelines, workflows, and operational processes.
• Contribute hands-on to key product design projects while balancing leadership responsibilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, executives, analytics teams, and other stakeholders to create user-centred solutions.
• Build consistent, scalable, accessible experiences using design systems, atomic design principles, research, usability testing, and behavioural insights.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating leadership of design teams and delivery of end-to-end product design solutions across platforms.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing design teams with a focus on collaboration and performance.
• Expertise in UX/UI principles, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing design workflows, tools, and operational processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in fintech or SaaS, with an understanding of financial products, compliance, security, and designing for trust.
