Senior Technical Architect (Cloud)

Location: Remote in the United States, California

Base salary: $113,800–$176,500 annually, with potential annual bonus or commission and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Drive the evolution of Pega Cloud as-a-Service.
• Define high-level architectural specifications and integrations with existing systems and platforms for large clients.
• Develop conceptual and logical architectures, risk assessments, and alternative technical approaches.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for current and future projects and markets.
• Collaborate with developers, consultants, product owners, and clients to communicate project progress and risks.
• Review technical architectures integrating third-party technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience driving technical and non-functional requirements involving architecture, containerization, and cloud technologies.
• Experience with cloud-native workloads, Kubernetes, microservices, Docker, clustered applications, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of application servers and databases, including Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, and other NoSQL technologies.
• Working knowledge of Java/J2EE, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and HazelCast.
• Must be based in the United States, California, for the remote role.

Nice to have

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
• CKAD, CKA, CKS, AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
• Experience providing technical thought leadership to team members, partners, and clients.
