Auditor (AI Audit-Tech)

Location: Berlin, Germany; remote work is available 100% from anywhere within Europe.

What you will do

• Identify major pain points across the audit process and turn them into new product areas.
• Develop concepts that expand platform coverage and increase its value across audit engagements.
• Co-decide the product roadmap, validate problems with audit firms, prioritise features, and define audit logic and correct outcomes.
• Translate IFRS, HGB, ISA, and IDW PS into software-executable logic, decision trees, and workflows.
• Design transparent review and control mechanisms that preserve auditor oversight, traceability, and professional skepticism.
• Work with engineering and AI teams to test outputs, evaluate quality, ship improvements, and represent the auditor to customers and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of financial statement audit experience, ideally at a Big 4 or leading mid-market firm, up to senior audit manager level.
• Strong understanding of engagement responsibility and liability risk, including audit sign-off requirements.
• Strong command of IFRS and/or HGB, as well as ISA and IDW PS, with the ability to convert standards into reproducible processes.
• Structured and analytical thinking, including the ability to define decision trees and outcomes for edge cases.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly to engineers, customers, and decision-makers.
• Native or near-native English and Europe-based location are required. German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in product management, audit methodology, audit tooling, or audit digitisation projects.
• WP, CPA, or ACA qualification, or progress toward one.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools.
