Executive Head of Product (Digital Fintech)

M-Pesa Africa is a fintech business providing mobile money, financial services, enterprise, merchant, and retail solutions to more than 60 million customers and 5 million businesses across seven markets.

What you will do

• Own the vision and product strategy for the consumer fintech app across seven markets.
• Lead more than 80 people across engineering, UX, and product to deliver the roadmap.
• Use customer and industry research to improve product experience, customer journeys, acceptance criteria, and backlog prioritization.
• Define partnership strategies covering loyalty and rewards, and drive business development with third parties.
• Negotiate commercial and product terms and support contracting across seven markets.
• Co-develop go-to-market plans and provide strategic support for digital strategy and business cases.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in digital product management at a fintech, bank, or relevant digital business.
• Strong knowledge of mobile money, fintech, and financial services.
• Experience with emerging-market consumers and multicultural environments.
• Understanding of digital product lifecycles and software or mobile development.
• Experience with Agile or Lean management, strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and influencing and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a related Master’s degree and Scaled Agile Framework certification are preferred.
