Finance Manager (EdTech)

Location: Bromley, England, United Kingdom — on-site in the Bromley office five days a week. Applicants must be able to travel to and work from Bromley.

What you will do

• Oversee monthly management information, management accounts commentary, departmental analysis and variance reporting.
• Maintain financial models, lead annual budgeting and update forecasts based on business performance.
• Develop KPI reporting and provide commercial analysis for operational decisions, pricing, tenders and margin protection.
• Manage, support and develop the finance team while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, systems, policies and reporting processes.
• Lead tax compliance, statutory reporting and the annual audit, including liaison with external auditors.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, ideally with at least three years of post-qualified experience.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.
• Good understanding of financial controls, statutory reporting and year-end audits.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to assess the financial impact of operational and commercial decisions.
• Leadership, people-management and stakeholder communication skills, with a hands-on approach.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capabilities.

Nice to have

• Industry experience in technology, software, SaaS or another fast-growing business.
• Understanding of SaaS, recurring revenue models, software development and R&D.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Dynamics 365.
• Practice-trained background with commercial awareness and management accounting experience.
