General Insurance Finance Business Partner

Location: Leeds, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at the Leeds office

What you will do

• Provide financial and commercial modelling for General Insurance initiatives, trading activity, and regulatory change.
• Analyse revenue and cost drivers to identify opportunities, manage change, and improve performance.
• Support investment cases and projects, including benefits tracking, financial monitoring, and objective alignment.
• Deliver four-year operating plans, quarterly forecasts, rolling monthly forecasts, and quarterly business review outputs.
• Work with Actuarial, Pricing, and Commercial teams to build credible plans and develop relevant performance metrics.
• Present results, risks, and issues to senior business partners, translating complex analysis into clear commercial insight.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification.
• Finance experience gained across multiple roles, ideally including business partnering.
• Strong financial planning, forecasting, and modelling capabilities.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and building effective business relationships.
• Strong commercial judgement, communication skills, and the ability to challenge decisions constructively.
• Experience identifying financial risks and opportunities and converting analysis into practical recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience in General Insurance or the wider insurance sector.
• Knowledge of General Insurance financial processes, products, and performance drivers.
• Experience working with Pricing, Commercial, or Actuarial teams.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation, investment, or strategic change programmes.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or Power Automate.
