Manager Maintenance (Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. Onsite five days a week. First shift: 6:30 AM–2:30 PM; overtime as needed. Relocation assistance is not available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Monitor and improve maintenance for the production unit while overseeing maintenance staff, contractors, equipment, and safety compliance.
• Create work plans for staff and contractors and review maintenance work performed by technicians.
• Make purchasing decisions and recommendations for equipment and tools, and train workers on maintenance processes and techniques.
• Monitor the maintenance budget and identify cost-effective alternatives for maintenance activities.
• Track daily inventories, inspect production units for wear and tear, and ensure timely replacement of equipment and components.
• Coach and mentor teams to support learning, motivation, and improved effectiveness.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of decision-making and critical-thinking processes, including analyzing situations, organizing relevant data, prioritizing concerns, assessing risks and alternatives, and documenting decisions.
• Working knowledge of effective communication, including giving constructive feedback, receiving feedback, delivering presentations, writing reports, and adapting communication to the audience.
• Working knowledge of planning and organizing tasks and resources, including identifying bottlenecks, creating action plans, monitoring progress, adjusting tactics, and escalating conflicting priorities.
• Basic understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) indicators, TPM objectives and pillars, and the differences between Total Quality Management and TPM.
