Patient Access Liaison (Pittsburgh, PA) (Biotech)

Location: Field based in Pittsburgh, PA, United States; candidate must reside within 25 miles of the assigned territory borders and travel 50% or more by air and car.

Base salary: $180,000–$200,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Support healthcare sites with REMS certification, patient enrollment, and operational readiness for therapy delivery.
• Provide compliant education on coverage, coding, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, reimbursement, and affordability programs.
• Educate stakeholders on case management processes and help resolve patient access barriers through approved HUB, specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and distribution pathways.
• Coordinate treatment logistics and scheduling across sites, REMS requirements, specialty pharmacies, distribution partners, and external support networks.
• Collaborate with Sales and Site of Care Account Leads on referrals, handoffs, site readiness, and case-level access challenges.
• Maintain compliant CRM documentation and execute account-level business plans across the assigned geography without engaging in promotional or sales activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in field reimbursement, patient access, and case management within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or specialty healthcare settings.
• Experience with specialty pharmacy programs, patient support services, coverage, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, affordability programs, and compliant access resources.
• Experience supporting patient progression from referral through treatment initiation and building relationships with treatment sites and healthcare stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license required.
• Must reside within 25 miles of the assigned territory borders and be able and willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Employment visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must already have employment rights in the United States.
