Public Benefit Supervisor (Healthcare)

Location: On-site at Tower - Reading Hospital in West Reading, PA; limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $54,700–$68,375 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Eligibility Services department.
• Monitor staff productivity, account-level outcomes, workflow, quality standards, and KPI performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on department procedures, hospital policies, and federal, state, and county benefit programs.
• Coach and develop staff, identify performance opportunities, and support time and attendance compliance.
• Maintain working relationships with Medicaid caseworkers and collaborate with Case Management, Patient Access, Financial Counseling, and physician office teams.
• Provide coverage during workload spikes or staffing gaps and travel when needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience interacting with patients about hospital financial issues.
• Strong customer service, communication, multitasking, and computer-use skills.
• Experience with advanced AI usage and managing teams that apply AI to process and technology improvements.
• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education and experience may substitute for a degree.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
