Associate Director, Full-stack Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with at least 3 days per week onsite at the Frisco, Texas Agentic AI Lab. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be ready to relocate immediately; relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $143,640–$273,000 annually in the U.S., with different ranges for certain locations. The role may also include a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Design and scale responsive frontend applications with React, Angular, or Vue, including generative UI and real-time streaming experiences.
• Build backend APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and production-ready MVPs using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Design and deploy multi-agent orchestration systems with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks.
• Configure RAG architectures and vector databases while optimizing LLM API performance, latency, prompt routing, context windows, and cost.
• Deploy secure, containerized AI platforms to AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed computing architectures.
• Work directly with enterprise clients and senior stakeholders, owning technical delivery from scoping through deployment and user adoption.

Requirements

• Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex or ready to relocate immediately, with 3 onsite days per week in Frisco, Texas.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience with strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript backend skills.
• Production experience with modern frontend frameworks, agentic orchestration frameworks, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus distributed systems and cloud deployment.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge, including PostgreSQL, Pandas, and Spark.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with LiteLLM, Langfuse, Temporal, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Hugging Face, model fine-tuning, or Redis vector search caching.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Business acumen and the ability to communicate technical value to executive stakeholders.
• Cloud or AI development certifications and a degree in a relevant technical field.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer premises.
