What you will do

• Manage daily operations of the NM Lake Forest Hospital simulation center and coordinate a standardized simulation program across the region.
• Oversee simulation equipment, supplies, maintenance, repairs, software updates, technical support, and laboratory setup.
• Design, schedule, and coordinate simulation activities with facilitators, hospitals, universities, departments, and external clients.
• Develop simulation curricula, staff and student competency training, facilitator education, and simulation experiences across healthcare disciplines.
• Manage simulation budgets, business plans, purchasing recommendations, inventory, and operational efficiencies.
• Hire, train, and schedule standardized patients and ensure compliance with simulation, regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Clinical knowledge and experience in a healthcare-related field such as nursing, EMT, paramedicine, or another allied health profession.
• At least two years of experience in healthcare simulation as an educator or simulation technician.
• Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) within three years of hire through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
• On-site work at the Winfield, Illinois location.
