Location: Owensboro, Kentucky, United States; onsite summer internship

Compensation: Competitively paid; a taxable housing stipend may be provided when the permanent and college addresses are beyond reasonable driving distance from the work location.

hirify.global operates a regulated gas pipeline business and provides an in-house legal, compliance, information governance, and business environment for the internship.

What you will do

• Complete a legal or compliance project with an impact on company operations.
• Research legal, regulatory, and compliance issues affecting the business.
• Assist with contract administration, policy review, and legal document management.
• Support compliance and information governance initiatives focused on reducing business risk.
• Analyze and summarize legislative and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance professionals through projects, meetings, and department activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the summer internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a relevant pre-law major or enrolled in law school.
• Planning to pursue corporate, energy, regulatory, or compliance law.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively, stay organized, and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Cooperative, team-oriented working style.

Nice to have

• Current enrollment in an accredited Juris Doctor program.
