Plant Operator (Testing Technician)

Location: Ramsey, MN, United States; on-site, first shift Monday–Friday, 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Pay rate: $24 per hour

What you will do

• Perform non-destructive testing inspections on gas cylinders using high-frequency sound waves to measure thickness and identify cracks, corrosion, and other defects.
• Evaluate cylinders for surface defects and corrosion before testing and maintain high inspection-quality standards.
• Navigate testing equipment data, verify daily test results, and maintain organized documentation for compliance with DOT and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate forklifts in a confined space to move cylinder pallets safely into and out of the testing facility.
• Support cylinder painting operations, equipment maintenance, and machinery calibration.
• Follow safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and hirify.global programs while adapting to changing production conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of related technical or mechanical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety programs, OSHA requirements, and applicable rules and procedures.

Nice to have

• Mechanical or maintenance aptitude.
