What you will do

• Teach an assigned Elementary Education course through the eCollege and Blackboard platforms.
• Communicate with students through discussion boards and provide timely guidance and feedback.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours and assess student postings and submissions.
• Provide grades, academic feedback, advising, and mentoring for students from diverse backgrounds.
• Support applied research, faculty development, and positive student learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Elementary Education or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline or a completed dissertation or peer-reviewed research in the field.
• At least 7 years of verifiable experience as an elementary school teacher.
• Significant intellectual and professional contributions to Elementary Education, including knowledge of contemporary issues in education, curriculum, and instruction.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, leadership, time-management, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to use online learning platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, zip software, and Adobe Acrobat, with reliable internet access and backup access.
• Appropriate academic credentials and any required teaching licenses or certifications must be maintained.

Nice to have

• Teaching experience at the degree level of the program.
• Previous online instruction experience.
• Experience in mathematics, science, or technology within education.
