Virtual School Social Worker (New York)

What you will do

• Provide individual social work services aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Support approximately 11 students in grades K–6 through 30-minute individual sessions.
• Help students develop coping, social, peer interaction, problem-solving, and executive functioning skills.
• Coordinate consultation time with teachers, families, educators, IEP teams, and related service providers.
• Complete progress notes, service logs, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• Active Clinical Social Worker license (LCSW).
• Valid New York license or certification for school social work practice.
• At least one year of full-time, on-site school social work experience, excluding internships.
• Experience with counseling, social-emotional support, behavioral interventions, IEP teams, and measurable student goals.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Private workspace, reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet connection.
