Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, with work supporting Lackland AFB, Texas

Support software engineering initiatives for the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division within the USAF Cyber and Networks Directorate.

What you will do

• Evaluate operational feasibility, requirements, solution designs, and proposed software changes.
• Develop, debug, patch, install, and maintain software and applications across the software development life cycle.
• Create technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear code.
• Analyze systems, information needs, data usage, and work processes to recommend operational improvements.
• Implement Agile acquisition, software development, and DevOps processes for cloud and non-cloud applications.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors, customers, and partner organizations to address findings and requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software or applications.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, and C.
• Ability to integrate with other organizations and teams and build effective working relationships with customers.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows development, with Agile Scrum experience preferred.
