Senior Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, with support for Lackland AFB, Texas

What you will do

• Evaluate operational feasibility through analysis, problem definition, requirements development, and solution design.
• Develop, debug, patch, install, and maintain software and applications throughout the software development life cycle.
• Design system specifications, standards, documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and clear code.
• Improve operations through systems analysis and recommendations for policy and procedure changes.
• Plan and implement Agile acquisition, software development, and DevOps processes for cloud and non-cloud applications.
• Coordinate with users, vendors, program managers, and partner organizations to resolve issues and implement required changes.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience creating, debugging, patching, and maintaining software or applications.
• Knowledge of multiple programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, and C.
• Ability to integrate with other organizations and build effective working relationships with customers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems development.
• 5+ years of experience using Python, Java, JavaScript, and C.
• Experience with Agile Scrum development methodology.
