Manufacturing Finance Manager

Location: Munich, Germany; on-site presence required and the role cannot be performed remotely.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end procurement-to-invoice process, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, goods receipt checks, stock movements, matching, controls, and audit trails.
• Reconcile deliveries with bills of materials and purchase records, and convert delivery and receipt data into accurate invoicing and monthly reconciliations.
• Track actual production costs for materials, labor, and overhead against contract value and budget, identifying variances early.
• Maintain work-in-progress balances by production order and support inventory valuation and cost-of-goods-sold recognition at period end.
• Build financial controls for procurement and operational spend, including approval workflows, cost visibility, and variance reporting.
• Partner with supply chain, production, operations, and finance teams while verifying physical inventory and operations against system records on site.

Requirements

• Experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations finance; manufacturing or hardware experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience, including WIP tracking, standard-versus-actual cost variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Practical experience with bills of materials, purchase orders, delivery documentation, and reconciliation processes.
• Proven ownership of an ERP system in a manufacturing or supply chain environment; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong process-control and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally as processes mature.
• Regular on-site work in Munich is required.
