Applications Specialist (CAD)

Location: NL Head Office MHNL, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

Salary: CAD 64,000–71,000 annually, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive programs.

What you will do

• Administer, configure, maintain, and support the PMCC Computer-Aided Dispatch system and related applications.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for CAD functionality, workflows, integrations, configuration, and system issues.
• Work with the CAD vendor to troubleshoot issues, test solutions, and implement enhancements and system changes.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of upgrades, application changes, new functionality, and technology initiatives.
• Support reporting, dashboards, system performance information, data initiatives, and operational decision-making.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to application roadmaps, workflow reviews, security reviews, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in application administration, system configuration, business analysis, technical support, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of application configuration, system administration, workflow development, and version control.
• Experience working with software vendors and IT teams to troubleshoot issues and implement system enhancements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate operational requirements into practical application and technology solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with operational teams, IT, vendors, System Performance, and other departments while managing multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with EMS, emergency communications, healthcare, or equivalent operational environments.
• Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch systems, emergency communications systems, or other operational applications.
• Experience with SQL, reporting tools, dashboards, data analysis, or system performance information.
