Electronic Security Senior Project Manager (Broadcast Technology)

Location: Boydton, Virginia, United States; occasional travel by car and airplane is expected, including approximately 10% remote travel and in-person client and project-site meetings.

What you will do

• Own broadcast consulting and design/build projects from initiation through closing, managing scope, schedules, costs, quality, staffing, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, account executives, directors, subject matter experts, and clients.
• Lead project meetings, communications, task planning, deliverable reviews, documentation, and project updates.
• Monitor labor budgets, project financials, billing, profitability, risks, staffing, and schedule performance.
• Manage client relationships, expectations, decisions, conflict resolution, and project transitions to later-phase teams.
• Support safety compliance during client and project-site visits, including PPE, hazard management, investigations, and safety documentation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, especially consulting.
• At least 5 years managing complex broadcast infrastructure or projects valued at $10–30 million, matrix-managing more than 6 professionals, and managing annual budgets above $1 million.
• Knowledge of broadcast operations, equipment, facilities, production systems, and HD, UHD, HDR, analog, SDI, and SMPTE 2110 IP technologies.
• Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, and wireless access points, with the ability to work with hardware- and software-based solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, delegation, organization, problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and people-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and ability to use a personal vehicle for reimbursed business travel.

Nice to have

• Project Management Institute SPMP certification.
• Certified Scrum Master certification and knowledge of Agile project management.
• Experience with cloud technologies, organizational change, program management, systems integration, and architectural or construction drawings.
