What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers across embedded software, mechanical and harness design, electronics, and systems engineering for autonomous landscaping platforms.
• Direct mechatronics development from concept and design through testing, deployment, maintenance, and field support.
• Own integration across mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems, including steering, drive, cutting systems, sensors, wiring harnesses, and electronics enclosures.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, performance, cost, reliability, ruggedization, and field serviceability.
• Define functional requirements and design specifications, review proposed solutions, and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risks.
• Collaborate with vehicle integration, autonomy software, field teams, and customers to resolve commissioning and deployment issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or a closely related engineering field.
• At least 5 years of individual-contributor experience in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, robotics, or related engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams in mechatronics development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design, electrical systems, control systems, and embedded software.
• Experience with CAD and simulation tools, embedded programming in C or C++, vehicle electrical architecture, wiring harnesses, and CAN communication.
• Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies, plus strong communication and cross-disciplinary project management skills.
