Senior Data Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote, U.S. based

Target pay range: $145,000–$175,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, competencies, and location.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable data architecture and infrastructure aligned with business and product requirements.
• Build, maintain, monitor, and optimize ETL processes, batch and streaming pipelines, and data warehouse integrations.
• Collect and validate high-quality data while maintaining data integrity, governance, documentation, and accessibility.
• Contribute to platform architecture, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
• Support customer onboarding to data products and participate in team on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, Product, Solutions Delivery, Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, and Enterprise Services.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills, with experience in Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres, and DBT.
• Experience with Apache Airflow, AWS services including S3, ECS, and RDS, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Kafka, and data quality frameworks.
• Background in enterprise data platforms and healthcare or social determinants of health data, including sensitive claims and clinical data.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical investigation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills; BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or data user tools such as Tableau, Looker, ThoughtSpot, or Sigma.
