Data Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from production source systems.
• Write transformation models that convert raw data into trusted datasets.
• Apply dimensional and medallion modeling patterns as the data warehouse develops.
• Deploy and test production pipelines, including idempotency and data quality checks.
• Contribute to data model, schema, and design reviews.
• Document owned pipelines and create operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Professional experience building data pipelines with production ownership.
• Strong SQL skills and working proficiency in Python, Go, or an equivalent programming language.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or another transformation framework.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or a similar platform.
• Practical ELT and orchestration experience with Fivetran, Airflow, or equivalent tools.
• Working AWS knowledge, including object storage, access basics, networking, and data testing.

Nice to have

• Change-data-capture experience.
• Experience with SQL Server sources.
• Healthcare or other regulated data environment experience.
• Exposure to a BI or semantic layer.
