AI Strategy Consultant (Discovery)

Salary: £90,000–£115,000 per year

What you will do

• Own delivery across conventional agile projects and AI-driven client engagements.
• Conduct discovery by observing workflows and interviewing stakeholders from junior employees to C-level executives.
• Assess whether AI, automation, or another solution best addresses each business problem.
• Identify and prioritise opportunities by value, effort, and risk, and build quantified commercial cases.
• Run prototypes and pilots, evaluate results, and decide whether to continue, adapt, or stop.
• Set AI quality thresholds, maintain human oversight, integrate solutions into workflows, and manage senior client relationships.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or Senior Project Manager in agile teams.
• Experience with discovery, product thinking, or client workshops, or strong motivation to develop these skills.
• Daily use of AI tools and confidence demonstrating a working prototype to clients.
• Technical depth sufficient to work effectively with engineers and contribute to prototyping.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to quantify time savings, error reduction, cost reduction, and revenue impact.
• Resilient, high-agency approach to ambiguity, with a technology consultancy or professional services background preferred.
