Head of Global Procure to Pay (P2P)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, USA; hybrid work with in-person attendance three days a week or more

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, based on experience

What you will do

• Lead the global procure-to-pay and accounts payable function across US, EMEA, and APAC entities.
• Manage vendor invoice processing, approval workflows, payments, employee expense reimbursements, onboarding, and supplier relationships.
• Lead a geographically dispersed AP team, allocating resources and developing team capabilities.
• Ensure SOX compliance, internal controls, segregation of duties, audit readiness, and tax compliance, including 1099 and VAT/GST requirements.
• Drive process standardization, automation, e-invoicing, touchless processing, system implementation, and digital transformation.
• Report on AP performance, support financial close activities, analyze liabilities and spend, and collaborate with finance, procurement, IT, and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing a global accounts payable function and geographically dispersed teams across the US, UK, and APAC.
• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, systems, global payments, multi-currency transactions, and regional compliance.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar, plus AP automation tools.
• Experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, 1099 reporting, and VAT/GST requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, and leadership skills.
• At least seven years of experience in a global management role; a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in a shared services environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements across US, EMEA, and APAC.
• Project management experience in system implementation or process transformation.
