Senior Technical Program Manager (Satellite Telecom)

Location: Hybrid, with regular on-site presence at the Barcelona HQ

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company developing a constellation that enables standard commercial devices to connect directly from space.

What you will do

• Own the departmental plan across network and service engineering areas, building realistic timelines with engineering owners.
• Track cross-team commitments and external roadmap milestones.
• Manage portfolio dependencies and risks involving internal teams and external suppliers.
• Surface deviations early and escalate them with clear recommendations.
• Run lightweight departmental reporting using existing meeting reports, logbooks, and project registers.
• Coordinate planning with Operations, Product, User Segment, Payload, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• Experience planning and tracking a multi-project technical portfolio in an engineering organization, such as telecom, space, or embedded systems.
• Experience actively managing dependencies and risks across technical projects.
• Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience in a technical environment.
• Technical literacy sufficient to assess estimates and follow dependencies between radio features and core network releases.
• Experience driving commitments across teams without formal authority.
• Working proficiency in English is required; Spanish is useful for day-to-day communication.

Nice to have

• Background in mobile networks, 3GPP-based systems, or satellite programs.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools for compiling and summarizing reports.
• Experience in a fast-scaling company.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
