Tank Farm Worker (Chemicals)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States. Onsite work in an inside/outside plant environment, including outdoor work in all weather conditions and varying or extended hours.

Base wage: $31.25 per hour. The applicable collective bargaining agreement determines the specific wage and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Operate tank farm facilities and support the prompt, accurate filling, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
• Ship and receive bulk chemicals while following applicable state and federal labeling and shipping regulations.
• Handle, blend, pump, and transfer hazardous chemicals between railcars, tanks, trailers, totes, and drums.
• Inspect tank farm equipment and facilities and maintain warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
• Drive a hostler in the yard to move bulk trailers and operate warehouse equipment.
• Respond to operational problems and emergencies, including directing Emergency Response Teams when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED with additional schooling, or equivalent business experience.
• Ability to work in an inside/outside plant environment and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations and direct Emergency Response Teams.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and work varying or extended hours.
• Ability to handle hazardous chemicals and comply with shipping and labeling regulations.
