Staff Engineer, Electrical Engineer (Temporary)

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States

Salary: $155,069–$272,708 annually, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Lead research, development, design, integration, and testing of hardware and firmware components, equipment, and systems.
• Interpret customer contracts and system requirements, validate hardware requirements, and support allocation, testability, and design decisions.
• Develop complex system-level hardware architectures, including design partitioning and selection of FPGA and other critical components.
• Implement high-speed DSP functions in FPGA devices, including digital filters and FFTs.
• Develop hardware designs, firmware, unit tests, hardware verification matrices, and test environments.
• Lead technical reviews, present at PDR, CDR, and TIM meetings, provide technical direction, and mentor electrical engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with hardware architecture, FPGA-based DSP, firmware, hardware integration, verification, timing analysis, and bus bandwidth analysis.
• Ability to lead electrical engineering development groups and perform technical reviews of designs and code.
• Background must permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required.
• ITAR-controlled products and technical data are restricted to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents; compliance with export-control procedures is required.
