Technology Architecture Engineering Intern (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Conduct reverse-engineering analyses of semiconductor technologies with tear-down and laboratory teams.
• Organize structural, layout, and technology findings and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Apply design-migration and layout-analysis tools to evaluate technology options and design-rule impacts.
• Develop repeatable scripts and workflows using Python and AI-enabled techniques to improve analysis efficiency and traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering partners to review results, resolve methodology gaps, and communicate risks and next steps.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

• At least a sophomore pursuing a bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field during the internship.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and good academic standing.
• Written and verbal English fluency required.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Understanding of semiconductor device operation, basic circuit design, or semiconductor processing technologies.
• Familiarity with electronic design automation or layout tools, statistical analysis, and programming in Python or another language.

Nice to have

• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership, project management, planning, and organizational experience.
• Experience or interest in reverse engineering, physical layout analysis, design migration, data visualization, or technical report development.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, KLayout, or Calibre.
