Aerospace Engineer Intership for Space Surveillance & Tracking

Location: Hybrid role in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain; includes up to 4 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area. A relocation package is available.

What you will do

• Adapt existing C++ astrodynamics software to run in a browser.
• Compile and integrate the computational layer using WebAssembly.
• Integrate orbital-event calculations into a web application.
• Develop interactive 3D visualizations with CesiumJS.
• Validate results with representative orbital scenarios and evaluate browser performance and integration limitations.

Requirements

• Student majoring in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of mechanics, dynamics, and aerospace systems.
• Basic experience with programming and numerical computation.
• Interest in orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, and software development.
• Ability to understand and integrate existing technical software.
• Good written and spoken English.
