Satellite AIT Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working model when possible, with on-site manufacturing, integration, testing, handling, and shipping activities.

What you will do

• Develop and industrialize thermo-mechanical assembly and integration processes for spacecraft instruments, payloads, and satellites.
• Define AIT work sequences, process parameters, manufacturing layouts, work orders, and integration procedures.
• Prepare manufacturing dossiers, bills of material, material requirements, tooling specifications, and quality control plans.
• Ensure the feasibility of mechanical, electrical, and thermal assembly, integration, and testing activities.
• Provide technical support to project AIT managers and production teams during breadboard, qualification, and flight model execution.
• Support continuous improvement, capability development, supplier activities, launch campaigns, testing campaigns, budgeting, and CapEx planning.

Requirements

• Degree or background in aerospace, telecommunications, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in AIT production, space AIT, or manufacturing engineering.
• Fluent English and Spanish are required.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, assembly integration and testing, work preparation, quality controls, and production support.
• Ability to support on-site activities at customer sites, spaceports, and supplier facilities when required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ESA ECSS standards.
• Knowledge of CATIA.
• Knowledge of DDMS environments such as Delmia or Apriso.
