TL;DR
Principal Data Architect (Snowflake): Designing and building a governed cloud data platform that migrates Finance reporting from a legacy on-premises system to Azure, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Snowflake with CDC replication and a certified BI semantic layer. Focus on dimensional modeling, cross-platform interoperability, data governance, architecture decision records, and hands-on validation of transformation and reconciliation patterns.
Location: Brazil; remote home office

What you will do
- Own the target architecture for a large-scale Finance data platform modernization.
- Design CDC replication, Fabric/OneLake lakehouse landing, and layered raw, conformed, and curated Snowflake data models.
- Design dimensional models, recompute source-system runtime values, and standardize key-value financial reporting attributes.
- Define a single certified BI semantic model with governed and versioned metric definitions.
- Work hands-on with the development team, lead technical discovery, and resolve interoperability, network, and identity questions.
- Own architecture quality gates and mentor developers on transformation, incremental materialization, reconciliation, and data quality.
Requirements
- Hands-on enterprise data architecture and cloud data platform modernization experience.
- Strong Snowflake experience with layered models and incremental transformation patterns.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake or a comparable lakehouse, including lakehouse-to-warehouse interoperability.
- Experience designing CDC replication pipelines from relational sources using tools such as Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, or Debezium.
- Experience with governed BI semantic layers and data governance, including classification, masking, row-level access, and lineage.
- Fluent English at C1 level required for direct engagement with client architecture, security, and executive stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP experience for financial or GL reporting.
- Mortgage, lending, or broader financial-services data platform experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development toolchains in a governed SDLC.
