Software Engineering - Senior Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States; domestic and international travel required up to 10%.

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end functional and non-functional QA for cloud-native enterprise applications deployed on AWS.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation, performance testing, CI/CD, and quality metrics frameworks.
• Execute performance, load, stability, scalability, API, UI, database, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify bottlenecks in multi-API cloud applications and recommend tuning and scaling configurations.
• Use Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, and AWS CloudWatch for performance monitoring and observability.
• Lead, coach, and mentor engineers while coordinating with product, architecture, development, analytics, platform, and QA leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least eight years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering, QA, or a related role, including four years in the specified areas.
• Experience designing automation architectures and frameworks for UI, REST and gRPC APIs, databases, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong performance testing experience for complex cloud services, including load, stability, scalability, troubleshooting, tuning, and scaling.
• Experience with Java, Groovy, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, HTML, CSS, SCSS, Shell scripting, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, databases, Kafka, and the listed testing tools and platforms.
• Unrestricted right to work in the United States is required.
