Validation Driver (Autonomous Vehicles)

What you will do

• Monitor autonomous vehicle behavior, sensor alerts, onboard displays, and surrounding traffic from the driver seat.
• Take manual control when requested by the AV system or when a safety situation requires intervention.
• Complete defined validation routes in Dubai and communicate with the Remote Operations Centre in English.
• Record system events, interventions, anomalies, takeover details, road conditions, and infrastructure changes.
• Complete digital shift reports, incident reports, daily debriefs, and escalation of unusual system behavior.
• Inspect, prepare, and check vehicles before and after each shift, including sensors, lights, tyres, mirrors, charging or fuel, and equipment.

Requirements

• Valid UAE driving license and a clean record with no major violations in the past three years.
• At least three years of active driving experience in the UAE or GCC, with strong familiarity with Dubai roads and traffic.
• Professional-level English required for engineering communication, incident reports, and digital systems.
• Confidence using tablets, touchscreens, onboard software, fleet-management systems, and digital logging tools.
• Calm decision-making under pressure, high attention to detail, and consistent checklist and reporting discipline.
• Secondary school certificate required; willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and other pilot-program shift patterns.

Nice to have

• RTA safety driver certification or autonomous vehicle/ADAS experience.
• Technical diploma or qualification in automotive, engineering, or IT.
• Previous experience with fleet applications, delivery platforms, or other work-based digital tools.
