Senior Software Engineer in Test (QA Automation)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid model with at least 12 monthly in-office days

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve automated end-to-end and integration test coverage for Identity and Access Management web portals.
• Create automated tests for new features and improve the reliability of existing test suites.
• Collaborate with iOS and Android engineers to test authentication flows across Bolt apps and the authentication SDK.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing when appropriate for feature assessment or issue investigation.
• Investigate defects, document findings, and work with engineering and product partners on resolutions.
• Bring testing considerations into planning, implementation, and release discussions.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software testing and test automation, ideally in a Software Engineer in Test or similar role.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs and maintaining automated test suites.
• Ability to read and write code and collaborate closely with software engineers.
• Interest in mobile testing and end-to-end user journeys across iOS and Android.
• Structured, detail-oriented approach with strong curiosity and practical problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining high standards for code quality and test reliability.
