ServiceNow Discovery Developer

What you will do

• Develop and customize ServiceNow Discovery Patterns and functionality beyond standard configurations.
• Configure Service Graph Connectors and support multiple CMDB data-ingestion methods.
• Discover and onboard on-premises infrastructure, servers, networks, cloud resources, hardware, and software.
• Troubleshoot Discovery failures, pattern errors, connector issues, credential problems, and connectivity issues.
• Investigate duplicate or inaccurate Configuration Items, validate CI relationships, and improve CMDB data quality.
• Support IT Asset Management processes and collaborate with infrastructure, network, server, cloud, asset management, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong ServiceNow Discovery, Discovery Patterns, CMDB, Configuration Items, and CI relationship experience.
• Experience with Service Graph Connectors or comparable CMDB data-ingestion methods.
• Experience discovering servers, networks, hardware, software, infrastructure, and cloud resources.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including resolving duplicate or incomplete Configuration Items.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Python scripting or development.
• AWS and Cloud Discovery experience.
• IT Asset Management, Hardware Asset Management, or Software Asset Management experience.
• IRE, Now Assist, Copilot, or AI-assisted development tools experience.
