Automation Test Engineer (QA Automation)

Location: Hybrid working across company offices, client sites, and home; 100% home working is not available. SC security clearance requires continuous residence in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years.

What you will do

• Create automation test strategies, plans, frameworks, and test scripts.
• Automate functional, API, web, and mobile testing using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and Tricentis Tosca.
• Develop BDD tests with Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar tooling.
• Integrate automation assets into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Manage and maintain test assets in Git and other repositories.
• Manage a small team of test engineers and collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and architects.

Requirements

• Experience creating automation test strategies, plans, and frameworks.
• Experience with at least two automation tools, including Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Tricentis Tosca.
• Familiarity with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with manual and automated functional, API, web, and mobile testing.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance, including continuous UK residence for the last 5 years; some roles may be restricted to sole UK nationals.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it after joining.
• Experience with Jira, TFS, OpenText ALM, Postman, Ready API, SoapUI, data masking, and data subsetting.
• Experience working in waterfall environments.
