Tamil Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

Welocalize provides language and technology services for global brands, including linguistic evaluation and localization testing for AI and consumer technology products.

What you will do

• Evaluate pre-release AI model responses in Tamil for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the Tamil experience with the English version.
• Test complete user journeys on client-provided smartphones and next-generation smart glasses using iOS and Android.
• Identify localization, display, formatting, and rendering issues involving text, dates, numbers, currencies, units, scripts, and mixed-language input.
• Document reproducible defects with steps, device and operating system details, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence, then retest fixes.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual Tamil, written and spoken, is required.
• Ability to explain issues clearly in English; English communication is required.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops, with comfort switching between iOS and Android.
• Strong attention to detail and objective judgement when assessing language and product quality.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed test scripts and guidelines.
• Previous software testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation experience is beneficial but not required.
