5G NTN Test Engineer (Junior)

Location: Based in Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work model. Occasional travel abroad is required for proofs of concept and MNO integration activities.

Sateliot is a Barcelona-based satellite company developing a constellation that connects standard commercial devices directly from space.

What you will do

• Support and help manage proofs of concept with mobile network operators in laboratory and field environments.
• Provide technical support for IPX and NTN network element integrations.
• Execute test passes and service validations against integration requirements.
• Analyze test results, identify anomalies, and help develop technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and MNO technical teams to resolve integration blockers.
• Document procedures, integration steps, lessons learned, and validation activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, or final-year student/recent graduate.
• Familiarity with IPX networks, 5G networks, roaming setup, and interconnection models.
• Basic knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, DNS, routing, VPN, and Linux.
• Exposure to testbeds and telecom monitoring tools such as Wireshark and protocol analyzers.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills, strong communication, coordination, and task-management abilities.
• Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English and availability for occasional international travel.

Nice to have

• Understanding of mobile and satellite communication protocols, including NB-IoT, LTE-M, 3GPP NTN, and LEO technologies.
• Additional language skills.
